What is Dr. Tung’s Smart Floss made of, and how does it to expand?

Dr. Tung’s Smart Floss is made of multifilament polyester fibers using a proprietary, patented process that allows the floss to expand. The fibers are lightly coated with a vegetable/beeswax blend (contains beeswax plus one or more of candelilla, carnauba, castor oil and rice bran wax). The floss is flavored with natural cardamom essential oils.
